PSNE Amritsar: 1944 Born Indian legendary Punjabi folk singer Gurmeet Bawa expired today at 10:30am. She was hospitalized in Amritsar and died there, as informed by her husband Kirpal Bawa. She is known for her long hek which can be held by her for more than 45 seconds. She is also famous for singing Jugni after the Alam Lohar and was the first Punjabi female singer to sing on.
Her Spouse is Kirpal Bawa and the Children: Lachi Bawa(expired), Galori Bawa, Poppy Bawa. Parents are S. Uttam Singh, Ram Kaur.
